We have 2 boys, aged 9 (nearly 10) and 8. They attend Gaelscoil in Glasnevin until 2.25pm daily and are in 3rd and 1st class. They love art and and also computer games. Our 8 year old is autistic (level 1 - asbergers) and his current special interests are Minecraft and also garten of banban videos and drawing the characters. He is L, also interested in cats and in puzzles, v0fesnumberblocks and alphablocks. He is very chatty and happy as long as he is in his regular routine,but can sometimes be escalated if he gets too excited or if the routine is unexpectedly changed without warning /preparation. Our nearly 10 year old is a very sweet, helpful and sociable boy. He also likes lego and art, as well as reading but these days the main interests for him are video games so getting them to do activities off-screen can be a drag (when they are at home) We would like a friendly and reliable person to collect them from school and mind them either in our home or theirs until 5.30pm (& very occasionally 6pm) We need at least 2 days per week, but preferably 3. We live in dublin 11 - it's a 15 minute bus journey, 10 by car or 40 minute walk from the school. We would prefer someone who has garda vetting and some experience with autistic children.
